ASSEMBLYMAN REPUBLICAN LEADER JIM TEDISCO'S TAKE ON SARAH PALIN
What a pick for Senator John McCain! There's no other way to describe his choice for vice president than clever. He has now cut Senator Barak Obama's lead in New York State to five points according to the latest Siena Research Institute Poll. Much of it can be attributed to the Sarah Palin effect.
Governor Palin burst onto the national scene poised to become the nation's first female vice president. Whether she gets there or not, her presence will leave an indelible mark in politics for generations to come.
Palin is no stranger to making history. She's already the first woman to ever serve as Governor of Alaska. She's bright and articulate. She's a slam dunk for the country and the Republican Party. She has sucked out the energy from Senator Obama's campaign and brought renewed enthusiasm to the race.
This hockey mom is a tough, no nonsense woman who appeals to the majority of Americans. And like McCain, she's a maverick – a new generation straight shooter. She's gone after her own party and the establishment in Alaska. She's exactly the kind of partner McCain needs to shake up the Beltway. Those who want business as usual in Washington are shaking in their boots at the thought of a McCain/Palin administration.
So far, Palin has had a wonderful reception from the American people. But sadly she's getting a raw deal from the national media. They have gone after her like a pack of wolves in a hunt to distort her record. But it has backfired. Palin's star continues to rise despite the cheap shots. She draws the kind of crowd at her rallies that Senator Obama now only dreams about.
She's bridging the gender gap – making it easier for the women who were dissatisfied with the democratic primaries to come on board the McCain/Palin ticket. Yes, what a pick for McCain! It is truly history in the making.

Assembly Republican Leader Jim Tedisco is right on teh money that Sarah Palin is proving to be a class act and that leftist in the media are fundamentally biased. All the more that the McCain-Palin ticket represent real change and special interests who prefer statist solutions over freedom and high taxes are quaking in they boots.

Sarah Palin is definitely a class act.
Her intelligence, competance and ability as a female manager, who is also a wife and mother, is driving the liberals to hatred.
Of course the media is slanted. We alreadly knew that - even before Sarah.
Go Sarah Go!
