There are two weeks left and it is time to make positive commercials for swing states on John McCain and Sarah Palin's records. If it can't be done, then they don't deserve to win. But I believe it can be done.
News reports are saying voters are souring on the McCain ticket because of too much negativity. One can argue that the Obama camp has been just as negative, but we're talking ads here. Campaign ads, the ones on TV. We need to know why we should vote for McCain, not why we should not vote for Obama.
And I'm not saying ads that run, "Vote for McCain, he served in the military and was captured by the Viet Cong." I'm saying, "Vote for McCain because he has proven to have leadership skills."
Here are a few things to note. McCain called for Rumsfeld to resign because of failed policies in Iraq. After recommending a surge, the President listened and now, Iraq is safter today than it was two years ago. McCain fought to go after corrupt corporations. McCain has fought against wasteful spending. There's gotta be footage or audio that can be included in these ads.
The same should be said of Palin. I think many voters in states like Florida, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania need to know more about the Republican ticket. And with two weeks left, the airwaves should be bombarded with a positive image of McCain/Palin. I've seen an Obama ad that was all forward looking, positive and how he will lead. It was a good ad. And to a common voter who doesn't know what liberal economic plans will do for this country, I can see the voter pulling the lever for Obama.
We need to spend October 19 through November 1 with nothing but postive forward thinking campaign ads for the McCain/Palin ticket. Or else we will lose.
