Short, sweet, and right to the point!
26% of the vote
The biggest percentage in New York County
I am told that this is mind-boggling considering the parameters of my campaign.
First time out. Running against an incumbent with over $330,000.00 in funds and thoroughly backed by
the ‘machine.' Only four (4) months into the game with
NO GUIDANCE, NO SUPPORT, NO BACKUP, NO MONEY.
I raised a total of $1,462.00 in contributions mostly from retirees and fixed income folks. I am personally down
over $4,000.00. Anybody want to write a check made out to Stephen F. Kaufman? Can you imagine how I would
have done with backup, support, and money? I WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT! And a lot of you out there know it.
Along with my campaign platform for Manhattan District 5 Councilman, I tried to impress on the people
something that most of them take for granted: they seem to have forgotten that AMERICA is the
greatest country on the planet and in history! AMERICA is not a grab bag for miscreants! AMERICA is
not a third world contender! That mentality has to be shutdown...NOW!
IT'S MY AMERICA! IS IT YOURS AS WELL?
I was left to my own devices all the way up to the top and told by all nothing more than,
"Give ‘em Hell, Steve."
"Give ‘em Hell, Steve?"
You ain't seen nothin' yet!

Steve, your end result for this election was very impressive. You scored the highest percentage in Manhattan and received the second highest in votes of Manhattan Republicans.
There is still much to study about with this year's Manhattan candidates.
The three highest vote totals were you, Chandra & Goldberg. We need to figure out how we secure these vote numbers and attract another 50% of them over to our party line.
